In the squeegee action, the squeegee plays an important role in ink filling, ink leveling and pressing. For printing, the common squeegee material is polyurethane with a hardness of 55°~90° (Shore hardness). The shape of squeegee is generally divided into flat, pointed 0 and round. According to the fineness requirements of different printing patterns, squeegee of different hardness and shape can be selected. In recent years, there are many types of sandwich squeegee on the market. This kind of squeegee not only ensures the strength of the squeegee, but also guarantees the printability, and has also been widely used.
Squeegee is generally installed on the scraper holder for use. After a squeegee is completed, the ink needs to be sent back to the screen pattern. The tool to complete this action is called the ink-returning knife. In manual printing, the squeegee doubles as a return knife, and in automatic printing, it is generally equipped with an all-metal ink return knife.
